On this rainy day, no news seems to be good. But one of these two items has to be the worst news today.

Georgia’s unemployment rate has again hit the record of 10.3%, higher than the national average of 10%.

The Conservative stacked Supreme Court has just ruled that corporations have more rights than citizens.

The unemployment news shows the pain currently being felt on Main Street and all the intersecting residential streets. Corporate CEOs caused that pain with economic weapons of mass destruction.

The court ruling allows corporations to campaign for or against political candidates. We can only imagine TARP funds being spent in elections. Or elections being funded with tax cuts for donors by incumbents. Or challengers promising special deals in illegal exchanges for campaign ‘donations.’

I don’t believe corporations have the same rights as I do. None at all. Do you?
