Only the extremely well informed voter willing to pay $20 for lunch can hear the annual GDOT Transportation Forum at Gainesville State College.

This habit of screening out the unemployed and those of us who are employed but brown bag their lunch everyday needs to end. We thought it did when Cheney gave up being President in Fact. It didn’t.

Maybe the only people who need to vote or ‘stay informed about important issues’ have the money for Chamber membership or silver tray lunches.  The rest of us can read a couple paragraphs in the Gainesville Never on the Times newspaper.

Why can the Chamber screen or limit access to government. When they become the gatekeepers to democracy?
