Wide receiver Dicky Lyons Jr. and his father, Dicky Sr., are believed to be the only father-and-son combination in NCAA history to scored at least one touchdown of 80 yards or more.

“That’s pretty impressive,” Lyons said after practice Tuesday. “I think he had a couple more of them.”

Lyons’ father was drafted in the fourth round by the Falcons in 1969.

“It’s crazy coming to the same place that he got drafted, too,” Lyons said. “A lot people don’t remember him because they cut him. I hope the similarities end there.”

Lyons was released Wednesday after one practice.
