Teachers and other state emplyees have just one more day to worry.  Tomorrow is the deadline for Governor Perdue to either sign or veto all legislation passed during the legislative session.

The very last thing on his desk is probably the FY ’10 budget.  So who will get the ax?  This is usually where the Governor pisses off at least 50% of Georgia.  Remember last year.  He vetoed contruction projects in Eric Johnson backyard and Speaker Richardson’s back yard, but he kept those Houston County projects.

The main worry this year is if he will leave teachers alone.  President Obama saved teachers from furloughs by providing over 300 million dollars in stimulus funds.  However, Perdue says that he is not taking furloughs off the table just yet.

I’ll have more tomorrow night.
