candy-drop-i-jpgWWII Air Force Colonel Gail Halvorsen served his country by participating in the Berlin Airlift. When flying supplies into the war torn city, Col. Halvorsen would routinely drop candy attached to tiny parachutes for the children that were suffering during the brutal war.

This Saturday, April 25th, Col. Halvorsen will recreate his flight over Flowery Branch.

Around 11 am, his vintage WWII fighter will parachute candy over the town (4034 Enterprise Way) for children to enjoy.
